The objectives of inlets are listed as follows:

INLETS will promote and even mediate the offer of eGOIA products and services available through its members. The practical arrangements and provision of the products and services will be within the responsibility of each member, individually or in cooperative partnerships. They will carry out all activities related to the provision of eGovernment products and services, including contractual association and arrangements for sharing of efforts, costs and benefits.

INLETS will offer a platform for close relationship among members enabling and stimulating the dissemination of information and sharing of experiences, knowledge and results for the mutual benefits each of the members.

INLETS will promote the adherence of new members to the network, including support for the formation of completely new laboratories.

INLETS will promote close contact between its members and the eGovernment community and related organisations, including joining and supporting initiatives towards eGovernment improvement and expansion.

INLETS will define and implement awareness campaigns using material produced by the members.
